This jumped out at me as I was perusing my suppliers raw mineral specimens, and was taken by its greenish matrix holding something of mystery on its surface.
My supplier then told me that it was a sapphire, whose clarity would have improved had there been more pressure when it was formed, but I think it’s rather special nonetheless.
Weighing 663g and measuring 9.93 x 7.76 x 6.09cms, this granite specimen holds just the one piece of sapphire, and is priced at $66.95 AUD
